end of the "school" year

Last night was Gwen's end of the year show for her daycare. I'm not sure what happened, but girl ended up very upset, not wanting to go onstage. She missed the first two songs, and only made it out for the second half of the last one, but she did make it out! Trav and I were sitting in the audience very confused, and after a song I went to find out what was going on. I found my poor girl crying.  :-(  I gave her some love and hugs and took her to our seat in the audience at her request. Finally, when the last song came on (Let It Go), she started singing along, then turned to me and said she wanted to do it! So I rushed her back to to the back of the stage, and sent her on.

She was glad she went up, I just wish I knew what happened. I'm so glad that Trav recorded the part when she came out, because I watched it from back stage.

Thankfully she was fine for the rest of the little program, walking up to the stage in her "undergrad" cap, hand in hand with her teacher.

She sat nicely by her best friend, Dominic.

And when it was her turn, RAN across the stage to get her certificate.

The teacher had asked the kids beforehand what they wanted to be when they grew up, and announced it as the kids got their certificates. Gwen and Dominic (and third musketeer, Romie) all wanted to be firefighters!

Overall, it was a great show, and I'm so glad I was able to be there (I was in California last year). I'm sorry Gwen had some nerves or end of year sadness or whatever it was, but I'm glad she ended up having fun in the end. My sweet girl.
