breaking out the grill

Broke out the grill for (I think) the first time this year. And, for the first time ever, I grilled something (other then hot dogs) from start to finish. I've lit the grill for Trav before. I've helped him watch stuff on the grill. I've cooked hot dogs myself. But I've never grilled something from start to finish (which actually required cooking and not just warming/getting pretty grill marks). I'm very proud of my freshman efforts!

Grilled chicken marinated in a honey teriyaki sauce with garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes:

I marinated the chicken for about 5 hours, then threw them on the grill. While they were cooking, I mixed more of the marinade (approx recipe after break) and simmered it down a bit to make a sauce. Easy and VERY good.

Marinade/Sauce:
Mix approx 1 heaping Tbs honey with 3/4 c teriyaki sauce until well combined. Add 3/4 T low sodium soy, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, 1 tsp chopped garlic, two dashes of pepper, and a good dash of red pepper flakes. Stir until combined.
