creativity on father's day

I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out what to get my dad for Father's Day. My mom had no suggestions, and frankly, I'm done asking him if he wants anything because I always get the "you don't have to get me anything" line (I know I don't have to... I want to!!). So I was just days away from visiting with my dad, and no gift in sight... when I stumbled on THIS blog post about doing an easy silhouette. Perfect! Its different, its meaningful, and its something no one else will get him.

I had been looking for something for Trav too, so I decided to do 3 (what, you didn't think I could resist doing one for myself at work too, right?). It really was pretty easy to make, and I'm super pleased with the results. I used this picture:

Cropped, of course. 

And here is the finished result:

I think it turned out great!
Both guys loved them, so I'm pleased.
